The club's purpose is the sporting use, and preservation in active use of the cars that represent those "vintage" characteristics which sparked the enthusiasm of the movement's founders in 1945.
Any enthusiast for Vintage sports cars is most welcome as a member and the club has regular meetings held on the second Friday of each month at its club rooms in Parkville. Regularly events are run throughout the year providing a mix of motor sports suitable for every enthusiast ranging from half day rally, hill climb, sprints Gymkhana and longer touring events.
The club award trophies and prizes for events and all members receive a printed monthly newsletter.
Formed soon after the completion of the war in 1945 by a group of motoring enthusiasts who realised that the Vintage cars they owned had very special features worth preserving. They liked to compete in their cars and so set the scene for the future.
The Club has prospered over the years through the endeavours and involvement of its members and has now celebrated its 75th Anniversary. The Gatehouse clubrooms were established as the clubs permanent home and are now the venue for the Monthly Member Meetings.
The VSCC caters for quality cars manufactured prior to 1940. The Vintage class covers the period from 1919 to 1930 and the Post Vintage class covers the period from 1931 to 1939. Historic racing cars and cars manufactured prior to 1919 are also welcome. You will be encouraged to participate in your eligible vehicles.
